Stephen Glenn "Steve" Martin (nacido el 14 de agosto de 1945) es un actor, comediante, escritor, dramaturgo, productor, músico y compositor estadounidense. Martin nació en Waco, Texas, y se crió en el sur de California, donde sus primeras influencias fueron trabajar en Disneylandia y Knott's Berry Farm y realizar actos de magia y comedia en estos y otros lugares más pequeños de la zona. Su ascenso a la fama se aceleró cuando se convirtió en escritor de la Hora de la Comedia de los Hermanos Smothers, y más tarde se convirtió en un invitado frecuente en The Tonight Show.
